Recently, you may have heard adults talking about the economy. The messages are everywhere. Your parents probably wanted to shield you from these messages, but you're bright and we know you listen. So, we want to take some time to explain to you what is going on and how you, as a Hindu, can help your family deal with it.

Listen here.

If you're a normal American kid, I'm sure at least once
you've yelled at your parents. Hopefully it was an accident, and hopefully
you're sorry now. Sometimes it is difficult to agree with everything our parents
ask us to do, but Hinduism has pretty clear rules about how we are supposed to
treat our parents, whether we agree with them or not. There is a reason that
they are the parent, and we are the child. In today's lesson we learn a little
about Hinduism's view on how we should treat our parents.

Growing up as a Hindu in America, one of the questions we were most frequently asked by our friends (and their parents too!) was why we have so many gods in Hinduism. We didn't really understand the answer to that question when we were kids, but we want to make sure YOU do. So please check out today's lesson right here and learn all about it!
Welcome to Adventures in Hinduism!

Well, it hasn't been an easy journey, but the team at Adventures in Hinduism couldn’t be more excited about the launch of this site! Finally, we’re starting to see our dream of making Hinduism approachable for the average American child come true.

So what is Adventures in Hinduism?

Adventures in Hinduism is a website started by a team of first generation American Hindus. Because we grew up here, we understand the difficult cultural and religious barriers Hindu kids in the US face. Our goal is to simplify our complicated religion, so that Hindu kids have the spiritual tools they need to face everyday challenges. We do this by collaborating with Hinduism experts in India to create dynamic audio lessons.

We want Hinduism to be understandable. We want it to be exciting. We want it to be fun, but we need your help.

What do you have to do? Well, it’s simple:

Join us. Bring your family here and learn about Hinduism. Let us know what you like and what you dislike. Send us your questions and suggestions. Tell your friends to join us. We can’t do this without you.

As our community grows, Adventures in Hinduism will grow! We want nothing more than for this site to get bigger, better and hence, more useful for your family.

We want to thank our generous donors that helped us get on our feet, but now it’s up to us.

Let’s get started!!

Check out a sample lesson here.
