How Should We Treat Our Parents?
If you're a normal American kid, I'm sure at least once you've yelled at your parents. Hopefully it was an accident, and hopefully you're sorry now. Sometimes it is difficult to agree with everything our parents ask us to do, but Hinduism has pretty clear rules about how we are supposed to treat our parents, whether we agree with them or not. There is a reason that they are the parent, and we are the child. In today's lesson we learn a little about Hinduism's view on how we should treat our parents.

One of the great epics of Hinduism is the Ramayana. The Ramayana is the story of Rama, an avatar of Vishnu that lived here on earth as a man and fought the King of the Rakshashas, Ravana. The Ramayana is full of valuable lessons about the Hindu way of life.
